      顾客:“算了。你们直接把比萨送到我家吧,家里有现金。你们多久会送到?”

      顾客:“什么?”

    机器翻译已不是新鲜事了,其中著名的典故大家也都听过一些,比如“怎么老是你”(How Old Are You")

    我是南方人,拼音的“Z/Zh, C/Ch, S/Sh”加上“An/Ang, En/Eng, In/Ing"是我永远的痛。因此对这些工具总有一种期盼和调侃的态度。今天又试了一把,嘿嘿,微软中翻英,我居然能读得懂。真的觉得有面子,可以推荐一下。

    下面是我上一篇博客“S+S在中国”,通过翻译后,大体还像个样。可以考虑“以观后效”。其中“引一代英雄尽折腰”被翻成“makes a generation of hero to bow”, 那是相当的有才了。

    如果有笑话的,那就是“马云”变成的“Horse Cloud",嘿嘿,也是相当的有才!

    软件+服务(S+S)是微软未来的战略方向,也是微软对市场的大胆预估。通过对中国市场的观察,我在中国已看到了一些势头,和微软的预测不谋而合。

    比如,随着Alibaba的上市,马云成为中国最有影响力的创业偶像;于是在B2B,或Web2.0上,有许多人都开始大谈“软件即服务(SaaS)”的模式。其中,“马云亦云”的公司不乏少数,我也不想多说;但我看到有一些公司是在现有营销模式下,并在其以往客户商业基础上逐步探索,因而其成功的可能性会大得多。

    这里举几个例子,来看看S+S模式在中国特有环境下有何特别优势:

    1)某华东城市管理项目,(强调,此城管非彼城管!!!)是对城市设施,运维,应急指挥的自动化协同办公系统。在技术上,这有许多技术的整合,如视频,地理地图信息、安全、等等;在部门上,有交通,水电,公安,等等;在行政区划上,有省地市区镇乡村,等等。这时,只有结合软件+服务模式,才能满足所有各方需求,灵活部署在各种场合。比如,公安系统通常有较完整系统,同时又较高的安全要求,这时纯粹的服务模式难以达到对数字的敏感信息的保密。而另一方面,在一些镇乡村,通常没有较完善的IT环境,也许没有足够的经费完全实施,这时可以汇总资源,通过SaaS/Hosting的模式,提供平台服务,甚至通过租赁或附加产业(如广告)的方式提供服务。

    2)张家界景区RFID门票系统。如同难产的3G标准一样,中国RFID大局未定,“引一代英雄尽折腰”,众多先驱成了先烈。但独有一家公司独辟蹊径,在张家界RFID门票系统一举站稳脚跟。其中的套路就是S+S中的“Finished Service”。他们为景区提供完全“免费服务”,由他们提供全部软硬件,并派三位全时间员工在景区提供全部的运维服务,唯一的条件就是必须由这家公司印刷门票,每张十元(含RFID芯片,封装,印刷)。这样,这个公司就有了一个每年1千多万的现金流;而景区完全不用关心任何系统问题,因为他们“购买"的是“门票服务”。

    现在有人提到“C2C model"。这里不是指“Cusotmer 2 Customer”,是“Copy 2 China”。:) 因为中国在许多商业模式、系统架构上,能够迅速的学习,移植国外的先进经验。

    我相信,微软的“S+S”在中国的落地一定不会慢,也许还会比其他国家快。

    As you know from my recent posts, I've been hanging out at 1,200 concurrent Subscribers trying to boost performance. When I first hit the 1,200 Subscriber mark, I was able to change and replicate ~13 million rows per hour.  I was happy with the scalability, but the performance was no better than what I achieved with 600 concurrent Subscribers.  Rather than push the scalability envelope out to 1,800 or 2,400 Subscribers, I decided to tweak, poke and prod my portable data center until I could get better performance at the 1,200 level.  I succeeded with the architecture you see below:

      其中,最受市民关注的是住宅建设用地使用权问题。为了与物权法相一致,北京修改了《北京市实施〈中华人民共和国城镇国有土地使用权出让和转让暂行条例〉办法》中的部分条款,确定为自动续期。

      据了解,此前土地使用权出让的最高年限居住用地为70年。70年后购买的房屋将如何处置一直是百姓关注的问题。去年,物权法明确规定,住宅建设用地使用权期限届满的,自动续期。解除了群众对其住宅在期满后的担心

    宣忠的创意工作室开办了已有半年,正经的生意没几个,可竟来一些莫名其妙,甚是啼笑皆非的业务。这不,刚一上班,一位衣冠不整,蓬头垢面的老哥就堵上门来。

    "您有什么事吗?"

    "您是宣经理吧,我想请您帮我策划策划。"

    "您是做什么的呢?"

    "说来惭愧,我以前也是个老板,做生意赔了,房子也抵了,老婆也跑了,干老板多年,除了有点脾气,什么本事也没有,现在只好乞讨为生,不过现在乞讨这个行业,门槛太低,竞争太激烈。想让您帮我出出主意,提高一下我的乞讨业绩"

    "你都混成叫花子了,还讲究什么业绩。"

    "人即使再落魄,也得精益求精,追求卓越吧。"

    "那好吧,就冲你这精神,我也接你这活了。"

    那人很高兴"我现在没钱付给您咨询费,等我挣了钱,我再给你,您看我现在应该怎么办?"

    宣忠思考了一下"您看,您要在乞讨业有所建树。就得先有个品牌。您贵姓?"

    "姓李。"

    "叫花李,你看这个名字还可以吧?"

    "不错不错,挺好听。"

    "你有没有固定经营场所?也就是你有没有固定乞讨的地方?"

    "有啊,我一般上午在人民广场,那人多,上午站累了,下午,我就去散散步,顺便捡捡破烂。我干乞讨这个职业,虽然被人瞧不起,但也属于自由职业者。"

    "叫花李,我给你一个建议,你一定要走专业化道路,不要又乞讨又捡破烂,你只有把你的乞讨这个主业做大做强之后,才能多元化经营。况且,又干这个,又干那个,品牌不够集中。"

    "是,是,我以前就是这样搞死的。"

    "你呢,以后每天就在人民广场守着,手里拿个碗,碗里先放上个块八毛的,在你面,立个牌子,上面写上"叫花李"。这样你就与其他乞讨人员不一样了,你已经有了自己的品牌。"

    宣忠喝了口水,接着说:"有了自己的品牌,这还不够,你必须在乞讨方式与竞争者区别开来,你必须差异化经营。让别人觉得你有个性,有特色,就是和别人不同。

    "以后不管什么人给你钱,你只许收人家五毛。你还像过去一样,面对熙熙攘攘的人流,拿个碗,伸向人群,嘴里做着广告:行行好吧!行行好吧!"我估计大多数人连看你一眼都不看,躲着就过去了。你别泄气,这是正常现象,不要奢望把所有的人都变成你的客户。记住了,我们只为一部分人服务,要找到我们的目标客户群。我相信,肯定会有些人朝你碗里扔个块八毛的,这时候,你一定要看清楚是多少钱,如果是五毛,就对人家说声谢谢。如果比五毛多,例如一块,你不要见钱眼开,赶紧把人家叫住,对人家说:"谢谢,我这里只收五毛"然后,你再找给人家五毛钱。

    "如果人家给的不足五毛,比如两毛,你也把人家叫住,对人家说:谢谢您的好意,我这里最低消费就是五毛,这两毛您还是拿回去吧。"

    叫花李有点不明白。"啊?!照你这个策划,人家给一块,找回五毛,人家给两毛还不要,我岂不要的更少了?不行不行。"

    "老李,不,叫花李,你听我说,你要想在乞讨业有所突破,你必须按我的话去做,刚开始是有点损失,但你和其他乞讨的不同了。你想想,当你找五毛钱给人的时候,那人是什么感觉,估计那人手里拿着那五毛钱,站在那得愣一会,"怎么回事,要钱的还带找钱的"你相信不相信,回家他就把这事宣扬出去,他会跟亲戚朋友说:人民广场有个叫花子,我给了他一块,他还找我五毛。"

    那个给你两毛的家伙就更惊诧了,估计当时他就得跟你翻脸"什么,你有没有搞错,你这还有最低消费?我问问你,你还是叫花子吗?"回去,他也要为你宣传:今儿个我可遇见一件怪事,人民广场有个要钱的,有个性,我给他两毛,他还不收,告诉我最低只收五毛。

    这些人都免费为你宣传,免费为你做口碑广告,你想想,你的知名度增加了,无形资产就增加了,现在这个年代,是注意力经济年代。你只要聚集了人气,就不愁不来钱。

    "真的?那我就试试"

    过了两个星期,叫花李也没有再来,宣忠心里一直想知道策划的效果,于是便来到人民广场找叫花李。一进广场,老远就看到在广场一角围了一群人,挤进去一看,中间果真是叫花李。在他面前,立着一个牌子,上书:著名职业乞讨师叫花李。旁还放着一本无家可归人员登记证。叫花李正忙着收钱,找钱。人群中有位中年妇女说"嘿,我们家那位回来跟我一说,我还不相信,天底下还有这样的叫花子,只收五毛,多了还不要,到这来一看,还真是,您看人家这个乞讨,还真够职业。"旁边一个小伙子气不过了,"我还不相信,有人会见钱不眼开。"说着,走上前去,拿出一张一百元的大票来,递给叫花李,"看你挺辛苦的,别找了。"叫花李忙把他拉住,一边数出一堆毛票来塞给他,一边说:"谢谢大哥的好意,您也不容易,我就收您五毛,多了不收,欢迎您下次再来。"围观的人看到这场景,竟然鼓起掌来。宣忠看到这里,觉得很满意,也没和叫花李打招呼,便从人群中钻了出来。

    过了两三天,一个雨天,叫花李来了。"宣经理,多谢您的策划,我现在的乞讨事业蒸蒸日上,要不是下雨,我都抽不出来空过来看你。"

    "老李,别客气,主要还是你自身的素质好,你本身就长了一个适合乞讨的脸,再加上经历了这么多风雨,满脸都是沧桑,稍微有点同情心的人就想给你点施舍。"

    "宣经理,你说也怪了,那几个和我一同在人民广场乞讨的,长的比我惨,可他们一天却要不来几个钱。"

    "这你就不懂了,麦当劳的老板曾经说过,不要以为麦当劳是经营快餐的,其实麦当劳是经营房地产的,通过做餐饮,把一个个好地方,都给占了。你也一样,不要以为,你是经营乞讨业的,你是经营娱乐业的。你在乞讨的同时,给大家带来新奇,带来快乐。"

    "真的?没想到我的工作这么崇高。"

    "你是赶上好时候了,要是二十年前,物质还十分缺乏,大家挣的钱只够吃饭,你要钱即使就是要出花来,也没人理你,可现在不同了,物质是丰富了,可人越来越精神空虚,总想寻求刺激,如果听说哪有个三条腿的蛤蟆,都要开车几十公里去看看。大家给你钱,不是因为你值得同情,是因为你这个行为必较有趣。"

    叫花李听得直点头,"我有点明白了,您是说很多人吃饱了没事,总想看个新鲜事,我要钱的方式比较奇特,所以就把大家吸引来了,"

    "对"宣忠见有人能听明白,说得就更来劲了"现在是眼球经济,注意力经济,谁个性,谁有特色,谁能吸引大家的目光,谁就能把哗哗的人民币吸引来。简单的现象其实背后都蕴藏着深刻得道理!"

    "好,我回去继续搞我的眼球经济,娱乐产业。"

    有过了两三天,宣忠正坐在办公室里,突然手机响了,看看号码,是一个陌生的号码,宣忠按了一下接听键,说"你好!"

    对方里传来一个有些熟悉的声音"宣总啊我是叫花李啊"

    "啊?!你都买上手机了。"

    "信息时代嘛,我找您有要紧事,一个小报的记者要采访我,我该怎么说呀?"

    "这是一个好机会,一定要抓住。"

    宣忠喘口气接着说"你这回不要就事论事,一定要拔高自己,把自己的认识上升到一定高度。你可以这么说,虽然我干的只是低贱的乞讨业,但也要坚守行业准则,既不能私抬物价哄骗消费者,又不能胡乱降价陷入恶性竞争。"

    过了几天,宣忠就在当地的一个地方性小报看到了那篇报道,题目是《一个具有职业道德的叫花子》,宣忠看完之后,心想,这个叫花李,现在已经出名了,我应该找他收点策划费。于是宣忠就来到人民广场去找他,老远就看到广场一角围了很多人,比上回人更多了。宣忠走上前去,挤进去一看,虽然地上放的牌子还是叫花李,可人已经换了一个人,

    "叫花李呢?"

    宣忠问那人。"你问我老板啊?你去百货大楼门口找他吧。"

    "他去那儿干嘛?"

    由“网络暴力”来的提醒

    下午上了个帖,提到“网络暴力”。

    晚上就查了其中提到的几个事件,乖乖,不能想象当事人的处境,他/她的人生轨道会如何被永远改变。所以“本人对网络暴力极不赞成"的立场实在太轻描淡写了。

    关键是,其中很大一部分人是出于“正义感”,才会“如鲠在喉”的投入参与。老毛说“群众的眼睛是雪亮的”,在十年文革中群众已经被证实是最容易被忽悠的。

    人性如此,你我都不能被免俗,唯一的办法就是提醒自己:别把自己太当回事,你不过是13亿没资质、非专业的局外人之一而以。

    就是局内人也务必要“快快地听,慢慢地说”。

    前几天和朋友谈论中国特色,讲到中国有“人肉智能”(纯粹的“人工智能”)。今天看到一个网页,哑然失笑。

    互联网组装的超级人脑

    16日,虎画出现后,网友们在打虎QQ群里纷纷大叫:“无敌人肉啊!”“人肉搜索引擎太强大了!”

    “人肉搜索引擎”是中国互联网上一个独特的景观。网友们自发地寻找他们共同关心的人物或特定目标的所有信息,其搜索能力远胜于任何先进的网络搜索引擎。人肉搜索引擎在近年来的网络事件中大显神威。“陈易卖身救母”事件中,一个普通女大学生的鞋是什么牌的,用什么颜色的隐形眼镜、家庭背景,甚至连性取向都被大白于天下。“铜须门”事件,又一个大学生因为与已婚少妇偷情,个人几乎所有资料被披露,家里电话被打爆。“虐猫”事件中,根据视频截图和网络资料,网友找到了虐猫事发地,找到了当事人和虐待动物的组织。这威力强大到伤人的程度时,他们甚至被称为“网络暴民”。

    这是任何一个普通网友也做不到的,就像计算机科学中的分布式计算。一台普通的家用电脑无法解决诸如分析来自外太空的电讯号、寻找隐蔽的黑洞、寻找并发现对抗艾滋病病毒的更为有效的药物等等问题。分布式计算可以通过互联网,将异常庞大的计算任务分解,大量家用电脑即可组成超级电脑,普通电脑就能够参与到这些伟大的任务中来。

    互联网同样将显示器后面的人组装成超级大脑,简直无所不知,无所不能。单个的网民只需要那么一个激活他们闲置脑力的密码。在“虐猫”事件、“铜须门”事件中,这个激活密码是“道德”,这一次,在“周老虎”事件中,激活密码是“专业”。这些专业人士互称对方为传说中的打虎英雄武松。他们用专业知识颠覆了传统手法塑造的“打虎英雄”。

    2007年我读过的几本好书

    2007年有机会到处飞来飞去,也养成了带几本书读的习惯,还真的读了不少书,(这也是我为什么喜欢住如家快捷酒店的原因)。同时在公司桌上我总是堆十几本书,贴上“Free Books”。

    前一段有人叫我推荐,我记忆中读过这几本不错:

    1. 《你为谁工作?》- 励志类
    2. 《爱的五种语言》- 婚姻,人际关系。
    3. 《六A的力量》- 孩子教育
    4. 《与人共赢》- John Maxwell, 领导力。

    曾想过写一些书评,希望能和http://www.GetAbstract.com一样高质量,不过太不现实。而且近来总是没有心情。希望能尽快摆脱这种低迷的状态。

    祝你2008年福杯漫溢

    一年又一年,都没有如愿写该写的贺卡,或对收到贺卡的感谢。总是忙,或忙完了累了。久而久之,文笔也废了,劲头也泄了;宁可赖着看电视,也没法静下心坐下好好动动笔。

    所以,对亲人,对朋友,都是牵着,欠着,潜着,歉着,谴着。。。。

    好在今年花时间装了个“短信中心”软件,好东西啊!用电脑USB联电话就可以发短信,用Outlook通讯录就可以群发短信;所有国内有手机的地址,只要一条短信就搞定,爽!国外的,就没法了,明年在改进把。
